As a teacher, planning and preparing for class is one of the most important aspects of teaching. There are six main components to Domain 1 of the Danielson Framework. The components include demonstrating knowledge of content and pedagogy, demonstrating knowledge of students, setting instructional outcomes, demonstrating knowledge of resources, designing coherent instruction, and designing student assessments. Teachers, such as my virtual co-op, use Domain 1 to emphasize student/teacher relationships in the classroom. By creating this relationship, the my co-op and other teachers are better able to determine how the student learns best. This allows them to form their lesson plans and assessments based around their students' needs. Teachers, including my virtual co-op, understand that all students learn differently. It is the teacher's job to change their teaching pedagogy to benefit their students' learning needs and abilities.
