Designing a coherent instructional time is at the center of planning. It brings together all the different aspects of the teacher's knowledge, necessary standards, and the use of available resources. It is important that, as a teacher, you are fully aware of all the different standards that your school, as well as the state, mandates. In order to design coherent instruction, the teacher must fully know their students and how they learn best. Each child has different characteristics, and the teacher must know how these will affect their learning abilities. When designing instruction, be sure to include plenty of entertaining resources that will further your students' knowledge. This will make them engaged learners, so they will be more likely to participate in the classroom and retain their knowledge.
